Interschool Cross Country
2011
A group of 20 children competed at the
Fairfield Cluster Interschool Cross Country.

It was a very cold and windy day and the track was extremely muddy!

The children all tried their best and made us all very proud!

Camp Raglan
2011

Children learning about the rock pool environment on Raglan beach.
They were trying to identify sea water creatures and draw them.

One of our choice activities was dance with Matua Araon.
Many of the children thought Matua was an awesome hip hop dancer.
Here we are learning a basic step.

When the boys found something swimming in the rock pool they were
very keen to investigate it and then try and identify it.

One of the most important parts of camp was the food!!
Our meals were just awesome.  It was really interesting
watching everyone eat - boy it was noisy!

Miss Winter had an art rotation activity for everyone.
The first art task was to paint a silhouette of the beach.
We used water colour and black paper.

Boy this is real team work!
One activity was to work as a team and help others over a
wooden wall.  We even had the parent helpers helping us!

A camp is not a camp without an item from the parents in the concert.
The famous four were called 'The Mopheads'.  They were real groovy.

Kelly Sports
Swimming Programme

This term we have been swimming with the help of Kelly Club instructors.  They have taken us through various levels and taught us many skills to build water confidence and swimming skills.

Below are a selection of photos from the swimming lessons our children received from the Kelly Sports Swimming instructors

Balloon Visit
Once again we were lucky enough to have a visit from a hot air balloon pilotand crew during the Balloon Over Waikato Festival.
Unfortunately the weather was not kind, so the crew was unable to inflate it outside.  Instead they showed us the balloon in the hall and the children had the opportunity to ask questions.  Some of the children even had a turn standing inside the basket!
